- Dr's. Moallem and Chen visited and provided seminars and workshops in Central Luzon State University in Philippines, National Pingtung University, Pingtung, Taiwan and National Taichung University, Taichung City, Taiwan (Dec. 2005).
Dr. Moallem is collaborating with Dr. Madhumita Bhattacharya, Science and Technology graduate students and teachers in Massey university, New Zealand on a problem-based learning project. Middle School science teachers in New Hanover County in U.S. and science teachers in New Zealand are working together to use problem-based learning approach in middle school science curriculum. Dr. Madhumita Bhattacharya presented and discussed her research and work on the role of technology in integrating math and science. Dr. Bhattacharya is a faculty member in the Department of Technology, Science & Mathematics Education, College of Education, Massey University, Auckland, New Zealand. She has worked extensively in the area of Problem-Based Learning and has taught several courses in integration of science and technology. Posted 8.17.05
