Costa Rica is Waiting for You!

Consider joining the WCE study-abroad experience and learn about a different culture.  This cultural immersion includes 60 hours of Spanish, home-stays, and experience teaching in Costa Rican schools.  Contact Debbie Powell or Mahnaz Moallem for more details.

September 2013 – Congratulations to Michael Robinson on his new position as an Educational Technologist within the Missiles and Fire Control team for Lockheed Martin.

Aug. 2012

Congratulations to Dr. Florence Martin for agreeing to take the lead for the MIT program starting fall 2012 so that Dr. Moallem can focus on coordinating Watson College of Education grant efforts.

Congratulations to Jean Snider for her position as a Project Coordinator for "Educating Language Minority Students Project (ELMS) (www.uncw.edu/ed/elms) at  University of North Carolina Wilmington. Jean graduated in summer 2012.

Congratulations to Chapin Brinegar for her Instructional Designer and Project Lead position at Proficient Learning, Wilmington, NC. Chapin graduated in summer of 2012. She was hired before completing her degree in May 2012.

Congratulations to Caitlin Boninti for her position as the Elearning Specialist at Piedmont Virginia Community College in Charlottesville, VA. Caitlin graduated in spring of 2012. She was hired before completing her degree.

Congratulations to Ian Jones for his new leadership position as Executive Director with Provost Academy Colorado.

Congratulations to Sarah Simkins Key for her position as an Instructional Technologist at Coastal Carolina Community College in Jacksonville, NC. Sarah graduated in spring of 2012 and was hired before completing her degree in April 2012.

Congratulations to Amanda Blakley for her new position as a Learning Consultant (Instructional Designer) at a company called Synaptis in Cary, NC.
