Admission Information
NC TEACH Admission Process
All application materials must be received by November
1, 2007 to be considered for admission to the 2008 NC Teach program.

You may obtain information on the NC TEACH program and application materials
at http://www.ncteach.ga.unc.edu.
All application materials must be received by 5:00 pm on November 1,
2007 to be considered for admission to the 2008 NC Teach Cohort.
Students also must apply to UNCW as either special undergraduate extension
students or non-degree graduate extension students.
Individuals who plan to earn a graduate degree following completion
of the NC Teach program and courses required for licensure should consider
applying for graduate admission since 12 hours of graduate coursework
can be earned through NC Teach. Participants selecting this route should
be aware that as a graduate student they will be expected to pay graduate
tuition for all courses and to complete the additional work required
for graduate level credit.
UNCW Undergraduate Admission Process
- Complete a UNCW application as a special undergraduate extension
student. (Check boxes for special undergraduate and for extension.)
Application
materials are available from the Admissions Office, UNC-Wilmington, 601
S. College Road, Wilmington, NC 28403-5955 or by calling (910) 962-3243.
The application also can be downloaded at http://www.uncw.edu/admissions/
- Write in large letters on the top right corner of the application
form that you are a NC TEACH candidate.
- Send official transcripts of all undergraduate and graduate college
work to Ann Marie Beall in the Admissions Office.
- Applications will be promptly processed once all materials have been
received, and students will be notified of admittance decision by the
Admissions Office.
UNCW Graduate Admission Process
- Complete a UNCW application for Graduate School as a non-degree seeking
extension student. (Check boxes for non-degree and for extension.) Application
materials are available from the Graduate School, UNC-Wilmington, 601
S. College Road, Wilmington, NC 28403-5955 or by calling (910) 962-3135.

- Write in large letters on the top right corner of the graduate school
application form that you are a NC TEACH candidate.
- Send official transcripts of all undergraduate and graduate college
work to the UNCW Graduate School.
- Applications will be promptly processed once all materials have been
received, and students will be notified of admittance decision by the
Graduate School.
Advising
After students have applied to NC TEACH and UNC-Wilmington,
an advising appointment should be made with Mr. Sam Black, by calling
(910) 962-3912. Students should bring copies of their transcripts with
them to the advising appointment. Mr. Black will develop an individual
plan of study that will indicate coursework needed in addition to NC
TEACH to complete requirements for specific licensure areas.
Registration Process for Coursework
After admission to UNC-Wilmington and to NC TEACH, students
should make an advising appointment with Mr. Sam Black by calling (910)
962-3912 to receive information necessary for enrollment in courses.
Note: NC TEACH students will meet with Mr. Black each
semester for advising and to obtain SEAWEB registration information.
