Math Overview

Course Description:

This module focuses on the basics of effective teaching and instructional planning. It will include such topic areas as instructional planning, methods and strategies, assessment and classroom management. NC TEACH participants will study various types of lessons including direct, social and inquiry, and will examine yearly, weekly, and daily formats for planning.

The format for class sessions will include lectures, class discussions (large and small groups), cooperative learning tasks, and analysis of videos and case studies.
