The CMC is a specialized collection of the William Madison Randall Library
on the campus of the University of North Carolina at Wilmington. You will
find the Center on the first floor of the Watson College of Education building
near the back of campus in room #127. The Education building is adjacent to
Dobo Hall and across from Wagoner Cafeteria. We serve as a resource center
for students enrolled in UNCW's teacher education program and for teachers
in the surrounding area. If you haven't had a chance to stop by for a visit,
you don't know what you're missing!

The Educational Laboratory at the University of North Carolina at Wilmington is designed as a critical component of the undergraduate elementary, middle school and special education programs. Students put into practice the methods they are learning in their college courses by tutoring a child during a semester. Reading and special education Master's level graduate students also provide reading and math assessment services for K-12 students. Diagnostic screening for vision and hearing is available through a collaborative arrangement with the School of Nursing.
The Ed Lab is housed in The Watson College of Education, Education Building Rooms 126 & 127. It provides an environment rich with print and non-print media, manipulatives for math, and a wide variety of materials and supplies which invite learning. In addition, tutors and their students work together in the:
Tutoring focuses on the child's strengths and the building of self-esteem.
Students are coached as they learn new strategies and skills in reading, writing
and mathematics. Open communication with parents is also an important part
of the Ed Lab experience.

The Watson College of Education is proud of our new facility and the outstanding
technology capabilities that lie within. We feel fortunate to have the equipment
