Literary Studies Coordinator
Selection Process: Appointed by the Chair upon
recommendation of the Steering Committee.
Term of Office: Three-year renewable term.
Description:
The literary studies coordinator provides leadership and vision
for the Literary Studies track of the undergraduate English major.
Responsibilities:
- Coordinates all facets of
outcomes assessment for the undergraduate Literary Studies
track.
- Chairs the Literary Studies
Committee.
- Serves on the Steering
Committee.
- Recommends course offerings to
the chair in consultation with the Literary Studies Committee.
- Maintains and revises the
Literary Studies section of the English Department website.
- Tracks course enrollments to
plan for future programmatic needs.
- Coordinates discussions of all
aspects of the literary studies program, including revising
current courses, creating new ones, drafting student learning
outcomes.
- Gives talks about the literary
studies track, courses, and skills to the university community.
- Holds regular meetings of
faculty and part-time instructors who teach literature courses
in order to exchange ideas and share information.
