Academic Interests
Rebecca Warfield’s passion is helping students expand their awareness of self and of the world through the written word. Her interests reside in collaborating literature with other forms of art. Currently, Ms. Warfield is collaborating with the theatre department to create a learning community that explores the social and political connections between literature and dance. She is also developing a new course that explores the American resurgence of sustainability through homesteading memoirs and popular websites such as Pinterest and Etsy. Rebecca incorporates service learning in her classes to promote community awareness and activism.
Outside of the classroom, Rebecca is active in the Wilmington community as a dancer and board member of The Dance Cooperative, a 501(c)(3) non-profit dance studio.
