2014 Summer Writers Conference June 20-22

Who doesn’t dream of moving to the beach and becoming a writer? UNCW is doing its part to help make that dream a reality. Writers of all levels are invited to attend the Summer Writers Conference, June 20-22, hosted on the UNCW campus by the nationally recognized Department of Creative Writing.

In its second year, the conference includes three days of workshops, discussions and readings, highlighted by a keynote address with New York Times best-selling author and UNCW alum Jason Mott. Mott holds both a B.F.A. in fiction and an M.F.A. in poetry from UNCW. His debut novel The Returned served as inspiration for ABC’s successful series Resurrection.

Workshops will be led by UNCW's acclaimed creative writing faculty members, including current creative writing chair Michael White, and Lavonne Adams and Dana Sachs, also UNCW graduates.
