City of Wilmington - Outreach & Education Intern-Stormwater Services - Job #208145. This is a Fall 2008 semester internship, with the possiblity to intern for additional semesters. The Cape Fear Audubon Society is looking for an intern with a background in the natural sciences and an interest in education to assist the CFAS education committee in planning and implementing an education outreach program with local K-12 schools. The intern would work directly with the education committee, the teachers and Andy Wood of Audubon NC to modify existing Audubon materials and to develop educational materials with a local emphasis. Equipment required: high-quality scanner that can accommodate 36" prints is required to complete this task. EPA Summer Internship Programs - Continuous Environmental Protection Agency Intern Program Carolina Ocean Studies - Continuous - is seeking interns for the Spring 2008. Internships will take place during marine education cruises to ocean reefs, the Gulf Stream, and uninhabited barrier islands. Intern tasks can include water sampling and data collection from fishing (rod and reel) and trawl samples. Likely fish species include members of the sea bass, porgy, and grunt familers. The position also includes other duties as assigned. This is a great experience which will expose interns to environmental education, eamanship, and marine collecting. Hours are flexible to accommodate work or school schedules. Most cruises are 3 hours in length.
