Where are the Onslow Extension classes held?
In SeaNet it says my class location is 067, what does that mean?
The location 067 means the class will be held in Jacksonville, North Carolina as part of the UNCW Extension Program. All extension classes are held at either the John A. Lejeune Education Center at Camp Lejeune or on Coastal Carolina Community College’s main campus.
Each semester, the classroom assignments are posted on the Extension Website to inform students where their classes will meet. Extension courses are courses with section numbers 800 or higher and a campus of "EXT."
How do I register for classes in SeaNet?
Follow the step-by-step directions here to learn how to register for classes.
Why are the tuition and fees different for the Extension Program?
Tuition and fees are charged according to campus of the course (main campus or extension) and NOT student classification. When using the SEANET registration system, please keep in mind that Extension courses are courses with section numbers 800 or higher and a campus of "EXT." Only these sections of courses are billed at the Extension tuition rates which are calculated on a per credit hour basis. All other section numbers are considered on-campus courses and are billed as such (including online main campus courses).
Tuition and fee rates for both on campus and Extension courses can be accessed through the link listed below. Ultimately it is the student's responsibility to know the different tuition rates. http://www.uncw.edu/ba/finance/StudentAccounts/tuition_fees.html
If I am in the military and using Tuition Assistance to pay for my classes, will all of my tuition and fees be covered if I take classes at the main campus in Wilmington?
No. TA only covers the Extension Campus rates and fees (see above). You will be responsible for all additional fees, including mandatory fees, which vary depending on how many credits you take at the main campus. View this link to see the current UNCW tuition and fees.
Does UNCW have a ROTC program?
No. UNCW does not have a ROTC program. To view schools in North Carolina with a Navy ROTC program, view the Navy's website.
Who do I contact at UNCW in order to get the required documents needed for my Military Degree Completion Program package?
Contact Ann Marie Beall, Associate Director, Office of Admissions by phone 6-8 weeks prior to the military program deadline to discuss program details and UNCW procedures (910.962.7038 / bealla@uncw.edu).
You may also view the Military Affiliated Student website for more information regarding the numerous degree completion programs offered through the various branches of the armed services.
