Leave of absence
Faculty who wish to take a leave of absence with partial pay or without
pay for professional or personal reasons should contact the department
chairperson and the appropriate dean to initiate the process, and the
office of Human Resources for information about continuation of benefits
while on leave. Arrangements may be made for faculty to pay for the
continuation of benefits while on leave.
Faculty on an academic-year (nine month) appointment do not earn annual
leave or sick leave, but they are entitled to the official holidays
that are listed in the "Calendar of Events".
Faculty are eligible for benefits under the Family Medical Leave Act
(FMLA). For information on these benefits, contact Human
Resources.
