The University of North Carolina at Wilmington is proud to host the fourth season of CINEMA NOUVEAU, showcasing five cutting-edge French films. The entire series is free to the public, and each film will be shown on the big screen in 35mm, with English subtitles, in the Lumina Theater at the Fisher Student Center on the UNCW campus. (Click here for a campus map, PDF version.) All are warmly invited to what promises to be an exciting festival of cinema. Collectively, the five filmmakers embody much of what makes French cinema innovative, unpredictable, and at the cutting edge of world filmmaking. We, the organizers of CINEMA NOUVEAU, hope you will take advantage of this unique opportunity to view these hard-to-find films. The festival is another indication of Wilmington's rising status as a center for film culture. We look forward to seeing you there! Tim Palmer Michelle Scatton-Tessier
The Tournées Festival was made possible with the support of the Cultural Services of the French Embassy and the French Ministry of Culture (CNC). Cinéma Nouveau would like to recognize the continual support of the Department of Film Studies, the Office of International Programs and the Department of Foreign Languages & Literatures at UNCW, and the Wilmington Star News. Free parking available on-site. Accommodations for disabilities may be requested by contacting 962-7712 three days prior to the event. Some film content may not be appropriate for all audiences.
