Each college or university determines an estimate of how much it will cost for you to attend school. Included in the Cost of Attendance are estimates for tuition and fees, books and supplies, room and board, and an allowance for personal, transportation, and miscellaneous expenses. The total is called the Cost of Attendance and, since parts of it are directly related to local area costs, will vary from one institution to another.

Note:  These cost of attendance tables represent the standard costs we expect students will incur.  Students who are able to document higher costs may request an increase in their cost of attendance budget. 

Allowance for Cost of Computer:  Students may request the cost of a computer to be added to the Cost of Attendance.  This addition must be supported by written documentation of cost.  Such adjustments will be documented in the student's file. 

Allowance for Dependent Care  Students may request the cost of dependent care to be added to the Cost of Attendance. This addition must be supported by written documentation of cost. Such adjustments will be documented in the student's file. 

Allowance for Above Normal Transportation Expenses  Students may request the cost of above normal travel expenses to be added to the Cost of Attendance. This addition must be supported by written documentation of cost. Such adjustments will be documented in the student's file.  

MBA Students:  MBA students are charged a higher tuition rate and may request an increase in the budget to reflect actual costs.  Students should appeal to their financial aid counselor to make this adjustment. 

Extension Students  Students who study at Onslow County and other extension students are assessed tuition/fees at different rates. Their Cost of Attendance will be adjusted to actual tuition and fees.
