Brian Chandler teaches courses in Spanish language and Latin American literature and civilization.  At all levels of instruction, Dr. Chandler integrates real-life skills and situations so that students can immediately apply what they have learned in class.  In 2007, he was the recipient of a Distinguished Teaching Award at the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill.  Dr. Chandler has lived in Ecuador, Mexico, and most recently Spain, where he taught at the Universidad de Sevilla.  His current research involves the growing intersection of historiography, theatre, and fiction within the context of contemporary Mexico.
