Dr. Hernández specializes in Francophone literature and culture and twentieth century French literature. Her research includes publications on language pedagogy, literature, and cultural studies. In 2005, she received a Mellon Grant to help develop a colloquium about La Francophonie. She recently finished a first edition English translation of Jules Verne’s Bourses de Voyage for Wesleyan University Press. The focus of her current research is the body of works of author Suzanne Dracius. Dr. Hernández teaches language, literature, and culture courses in French; she is also the advisor for the Cercle français. In addition, she teaches Spanish.
