November meeting: John Stevens will present:
“International Communication via the Internet.” We will also
have our SWAP of teaching activities and materials. This is a great opportunity
to share an idea or resource that you have found helpful in planning and
instruction. And you will go home with lots of new suggestions from colleagues!
Please bring approximately 25-30 copies of a description of your activity
and any visuals, props, or student samples that would be useful for your
explanation.

FLANC: Congratulations to UNCW student Alison Manning, recipient of this
year's FLANC Scholarship.

The US State Department is sponsoring "Doors to Diplomacy,"
an educational challenge for middle and high school students around the
world. If you are interested in having students participate and compete,

Intercultural Week will be February 10-15, 2003. A Global Summit on the
theme of “Superpower and Responsibility” is planned for Feb.
11, featuring four distinguished international speakers.
Dues: $10 dues ($5 for full-time students) may be paid at the meeting
