R. Terry Mount teaches classes in Spanish language, literature, civilization, and Spanish-English translation.  He serves as coordinator of the department’s Spanish section and of the graduate program in Hispanic studies.  He has been a participant in one NEH summer seminar and two NEH summer Institutes.  He is a former Danforth Associate and a past president of MIFLC (1996 and 2001).  Dr. Mount researches Spanish medieval literature, particularly the works of Gonzalo de Berceo and Alfonso X el Sabio.  Among his scholarly publications are translations of Berceo’s Vida de Santa Oria and Milagros de Nuestra Señora.
