David Hoot teaches Latin at the beginning and intermediate levels as well as Classical civilization courses. He comes to UNCW by way of the University of Florida where he is completing his dissertation on the mixed fortunes of the famous Greek healing sanctuary at Epidaurus during the late Roman Empire. His research interests include ancient religion, the Roman Empire, and Roman Archaeology.
