Member with Sammy the SeahawkScholarship Reception

Every semester, along with Panhellenic and NPHC, IFC hosts a reception in order to honor the members who received a GPA of 3.5 or higher in the previous semester. Members can come and socialize with other scholars and listen to a member of the faculty speak about the importance of academics and the value of the education we received at UNCW.

Speaking Greek

Each fall semester the Interfraternity Council and Student Government Association work together to host a nationally recognized college speaker to present to our community. This is a highly attended event by our community with usually 65% - 75% of members in attendance. Typical speaking topics are character development, hazing prevention, personal growth, relationship building, leadership, motivation, and alcohol education just to name a few.

Greek Week Huddle

Mustaches 4 Kids

The Interfratrenity Council supports this non-profit organization, which benefits children's chairities. IFC members will grow mustaches for a month(just a mustache, no other facial hair) and raise money to help support local children's charities. IFC took on this initiative fall 2013. We are excited to see where our community's support for this event grow every year!

Athletics & Intramural Sports

The Intferfratrenity Council has partnered with the UNCW Atheltics Department to create a series of Greek-Specific Athletic Days for each of the major athletic teams at UNCW. Past events include Greek Day at the Ballpark, Soccer Shut-Out Tournament, and Greek Basketball days.

To develop healthy competition between the members of IFC, the council has worked with the Campus Recreation Department to develop an all fraternity league for intramurals. In each sport fraternities will compete against each other and earn points throughout the year. The fraternity with the most points at the end of the year wins the IFC Intramural Award.

I believe in the brotherhood of all men, but I don't believe in wasting brotherhood on anyone who doesn't want to practice it with me. Brotherhood is a two-way street. - Malcom X
