- Jeanne Harmon serves as Administrative Assistant in the General Counsel's Office. Previous UNC Wilmington positions have been in the Department of Philosophy and Religion and the Department of Theatre and Art. Prior employment outside of the university has included being a fourth grade teacher at Holly Tree Elementary School and as a legal secretary in Charlotte. She received a B.A. in Elementary Education from UNC Wilmington. She is active in the Watson School of Education Alumni Chapter and currently serves as its President.
Eileen Goldgeier has served as General Counsel at UNC Wilmington since August 2003. Prior to that position, she was Associate General Counsel at NC State University from March 1997 to August 2003. Before relocating to North Carolina, Eileen was employed for five years in the General Counsel's Office of The Johns Hopkins University and was an Associate at Venable, Baetjer & Howard in Baltimore from 1988-91. She is a graduate of Brown University (B.A. in Environmental Studies) and Emory University School of Law (J.D.). She is a member of the National Association of College and University Attorneys (NACUA), and is licensed to practice law in North Carolina, Maryland, and the District of Columbia. Currently, Eileen is serving a three year term as an At Large Member on NACUA’s Board of Directors.

Robert R. Hoon serves as Associate General Counsel at the University of North Carolina Wilmington. Before relocating to North Carolina, Mr. Hoon worked as Assistant to the Minority Leader to the Washington State House of Representatives (1982-83); medical malpractice defense and construction litigator in Seattle, WA (1984-92); and beginning in 1992, serving Washington State University in multiple capacities, initially as Education Division Assistant Attorney General, then as in-house counsel, Executive Assistant for Business Affairs, Real Estate Officer, Contracts Officer, Public Finance Officer, and Director of Business Services with management of up to 10 business units and operations. Mr. Hoon’s subspecialties include construction and public works, public finance, copyright, patents, real estate, business transactions, complex contracts, and contract management and negotiation. Mr. Hoon graduated Summa Cum Laude from Washington State University in 1982 with a B.A. (Political Science), and law school from the University of Washington (J.D. 1986). He is a member of both the North Carolina and Washington Bars.

Steven W. Miller has served as Paralegal at UNC Wilmington since September 2005. Prior to this position, he was working in the Unemployment Insurance Benefits section of the Employment Security Commission of North Carolina from March 2002 to September 2005. Prior employment has included eight years of private legal practice in California, one year as an NCAA Compliance Officer at Northwestern State University in Louisiana, and five years working for United Airlines. He received an M.S. in Sports Management from the University of Massachusetts at Amherst, a J.D. from the University of Iowa and a B.A. in Economics and Political Science from Iowa State University.
