Course Description
GLS 592: Building Blocks Necessary for Personal, Natural, and Cultural Resiliance
Instructor: Larry Ferrell
The course is meant to survey resilience literature and to identify necessary elements that contribute to personal resilience in the lives of individuals. Additionally, the study will include a survey of resilience literature to discover essential elements that contribute to resilience of communities in the world. Finally, a survey of American culture will attempt to locate aspects within it that block and elements that build resilience at the local community level as well as at the national level.
