Course Description

GLS 592: Dreams and Active Imagination

Instructor: Jenny Yates

A study of the way dreams give rise to creativity. Carl Jung's theory of active imagination is that one takes images/symbols from dreams and gives them form through the arts. For example, the structure of some dreams is similar to that of drama. One may paint dreams or use them for inspiration in creative writing.
