Expenses

Tuition and fees are charged according to campus of the course (main campus or extension) and not student classification.  When using the SEANET registration system, please keep in mind that Extension courses are courses with section numbers 800 or higher and a campus of “EXT.”  Only these sections of courses are billed at the Extension tuition rates which are calculated on a per credit hour basis.  All other section numbers are considered on-campus courses and are billed as such.  Tuition and fee rates for both on-campus and Extension courses can be found at http://uncw.edu/ba/finance/StudentAccounts/tuition_fees.html.

UNCW REFUND POLICY

To officially withdraw from the university, graduate students must complete an Official Withdrawal Form in the Graduate School. Any outstanding financial obligations to the university will be deducted from the amount refunded.

REFUNDS - TUITION AND FEES, ROOM AND BOARD

A student who officially withdraws from the university on or before the last day of registration (drop/add) period will receive a refund of the amount paid. Refunds are based on the date contained on the Official Withdrawal Form. Room and board refunds are pro-rated differently. If applicable, please see Housing and/or Auxiliary Services.

Students withdrawing after the drop/add period will receive refunds (for complete withdrawals only) as specified on the tuition and refund schedule. Refunds are not available for summer sessions.

NOTE:  If a student is receiving federal financial aid, e.g., Pell Grant, Stafford Loans, etc., contact the UNCW Office of Scholarships and Financial Aid for refund policies related to that aid.
