GLS 592: Women in Film

This course will explore the roles women have played both in front of and behind the camera over the past 75 years. The class will look at selected films, both domestic and foreign, by renowned women directors. Interwoven among the study of films will be a discussion of the dramatic rise in 1990's Hollywood of women studio executives and producers.
