Application Instructions
All graduate degree, certificate, non-degree and licensure programs require the submittal of an online application.
The Application will prompt you to enter information about yourself, the program you wish to enter, and your credentials. It is helpful to gather some of this information in advance. Below is a quick summary of the application sections. When you have completed each section, click "save and continue" at the bottom of the page. If you have missed a question or entered material in the wrong format, you will get an error message (system message). Missed or miss entered fields will be highlighted in teal. Please correct the error and click "save and continue".
Application Sections:
Enrollment Information - Select the term, specific program and concentration (if there is a choice), the location of the program (on or off campus), and indicate whether you intend to enroll full or part time.
Personal Data - Enter your personal information into the form. The name you enter is the name that goes into our system. Please also include any names that you may have used previously. Including other names will help us match up materials that come in under different names; i.e. transcripts from other institutions where you attended under a different last name. The permanent mailing address is the address that will be used to send formal letters once a decision is made. You may use the current mail address section if you would like the information to be mailed to a location other than your permanent mailing address. Enter an email account that you can be sure you have access to during the application review process. Questions about your application will be sent to the email address that you provide on the application, it may be necessary to check your spam mail to make sure theses emails are not being filtered. Pay attention to the format of the phone numbers and dates, (###) ###-#### (555) 555-5555, mm/dd/yyyy (04/21/1985), and mm/yyyy (08/1982) to avoid errors when saving.
Residency Information - Read and answer each question carefully, entering information incorrectly could affect the information entered into the University system. Pay attention to the format of the dates mm/dd/yyyy (04/21/1985) and mm/yyyy (08/1982) to avoid errors when saving.

If you are in the process of applying for citizenship, you are still considered an International Citizen until you have officially received U.S. citizenship.
Academic Information - Enter all colleges or universities that you have attended. When searching for your institution enter the state abbreviation instead of the full name of the state, i.e. AL, NC, CA. If you are having trouble searching for an institution try entering just the state. If your institution is not listed it may not have accreditation.
Test Scores - Enter the score that you earned on your exam, if you have not yet taken the test leave the scores empty or enter the date you plan to take the test. International students are required to submit TOEFL or IELTS scores, but are not required if the native language is English or you have earned a baccalaureate from an accredited US institution. Test scores more than five years old at the time of application will not be considered.

Campus Safety Questions - You will be required to answer questions about any misconduct from the past or currently under review, including criminal offenses or academic disciplinary actions. You will be prompted to give short explanations. Please note that failure to disclose this information or to provide an adequate explanation can delay, or even cause rejection of, your application. In addition, we will contact you regarding the submission of a criminal background check to document the charges.
Upload Documents - In this section you will upload additional admission materials that may be required by your program/department. Please check here for a spreadsheet of departments and the required supplemental documents (check department web page links as provided on this sheet for more information).
