Goal of Program:

Students in the English program encounter high academic expectations leavened by mentoring from world-class scholars. Graduate students go on to Ph.D. programs, find teaching jobs with community colleges and major universities, and continue to successful careers in administration, education, and business.

Program Audience:

  • Students, in consultation with their advisor, tailor their course schedules to their own career objectives and interests, selecting a variety of courses in literature, linguistics, rhetoric and composition, literary theory, cultural studies and professional writing.
