For her academic acheivement, leadership, and professionalism, the Student Majors' Association has named Ashley McLellan the 2006 Student Major of the Year. Ashley has excelled in the PED-Teacher Certification program throughout her years at UNCW. Her goal as a future Physical Education proefessional is to "create a fun, inviting atmosphere, where everyone will want to achieve his/her highest potential". Ashley was also awarded the June Galloway Scholarship for her outstanding acheivement and commitment to Physical Education.
