The world’s only Parrothead Studies class, previously only taught in the Honors Program at UNCW will now be a three hour on-line course in Summer Session I.

HAHS faculty, Dr. Candy Ashton and Dr. Dan Johnson, has been involved with colleagues at Texas A&M and the U. of Florida over the last five years studying Jimmy Buffett fans and Parrothead Clubs. Their research has looked at Parrotheads through leisure behavior, serious leisure, and social capital theories. REC 292 Parrothead Studies will begin May 15th and end June 16th. This class is limited to 20 students.
