Recreation Manager- Community Development Job# 206234
Candidate will manage the daily operations and administration of the
City of Wilmington’s Community Centers located in the inner-city and
public housing sites. Responsibilities include, but not limited to
managing the multiple community center operations by supervising staff
planning and providing recreation and after school programs, preparing
the budget and conducting fiscal monitoring, developing and
implementing polices and procedures. Additionally, the position will
be responsible for providing needs assessment for the service area,
public relations and collaboration with nonprofit agencies, civic
organizations and neighborhood groups. Bachelor's Degree in Parks and
Recreation Management, Child and Family Development, Education,
Leisure Studies, or a related field and 5 years of progressively
responsible recreation program management experience including
supervising multiple employees and demonstrated ability to work with
at-risk youth is required. North Carolina Driver's License is
required. CRIMINAL AND DRIVING HISTORY CHECK REQUIRED. Salary Range:
$42,522-$67,336. Comprehensive benefits package including an
additional 4.5% contribution to 401k or 457 plan. Currently accepting
