Abstract

The function of stumpware, a specialty ceramic type used in the American Bottom archaeological area, specifically the George Reeves excavation site, is analyzed through pottery form comparisons and the use of GC/MS, Gas Chromatography/ Mass Spectrometer, chemical residue analysis.
