Environmental education is a vital aspect in the lives of every student and can be utilized more frequently. The purpose of this project is to examine, discuss, and study the impact of environmental education on children and their families. Airlie Gardens, a local New Hanover County park, chose to improve its appeal to the education of young children and families with more family friendly tools to better assist their visits. A brochure was developed for a more child-friendly approach to Airlie Gardens and what it has to offer the community. This project examines how interacting with our environment can be made more fun and approachable to children and their families.
