PHASED RETIREMENT PROGRAM OPEN ENROLLMENT
October 1, 2007 – November 30, 2007
The open enrollment period for tenured faculty who wish to enter the Phased Retirement Program (the “Program”) beginning in the 2008 - 2009 academic year is October 1, 2007 through November 30, 2007. Participants must attend a meeting in Human Resources and review enrollment materials by November 30, 2007.
The Program is available only to full-time tenured faculty members if, by August 1, 2008, they:
- Have at least five years of full-time service at UNCW;
- Are age 62 or older for members of the Teachers’ and State Employees’ Retirement System (TSERS) or 59 ½ or older for participants in the Optional Retirement Program; and
- Are eligible to receive retirement benefits through either TSERS or the ORP, as applicable.
Interested faculty are strongly encouraged to attend an informational meeting on October 9th from 9:00 – 10:30 am or October 17th from 3:00 – 4:30 pm in the HR Training Room at 5051 New Centre Drive.
