PHASED RETIREMENT PROGRAM OPEN ENROLLMENT
September 1, 2012 – November 23, 2012
The open enrollment period for tenured faculty who wish to enter the Phased Retirement Program (the “Program”) beginning in the 2013 - 2014 academic year is September 1, 2012 through November 23, 2012. Participants must attend a meeting in Human Resources and review enrollment materials by November 23, 2012.
The Program is available only to full-time tenured faculty members if, by August 1, 2013, they:
- Have at least five years of full-time service at UNCW;
- Are age 62 or older for members of the Teachers’ and State Employees’ Retirement System (TSERS) or 59 ½ or older for participants in the Optional Retirement Program; and
- Are eligible to receive retirement benefits through either TSERS or the ORP, as applicable.
Interested faculty are strongly encouraged to attend an informational meeting in on September 11th from 2:00 - 3:30pm in the FUU Azalea Coast B Room or September 12th from 8:30 to 10:00 am in the FUU Cape Fear Room.
