The University of North Carolina, Wilmington, is seeking a University Registrar.  The Registrar is responsible for the overall management and administration of the academic record keeping processes for the university.

Located in southeastern North Carolina within minutes of the Atlantic Ocean, UNC Wilmington is one of 17 constituent campuses of the University of North Carolina. The university offers more than 50 undergraduate and more than 35 graduate degree programs, including doctoral programs in marine biology and educational leadership, for approximately 13,000 students. Strong data collection, analysis, and reporting skills are required, as is the ability to work collaboratively in a team-focused environment. The successful candidate will have strong leadership, management, organizational, and communication skills; a good sense of judgment and integrity; and must appreciate and support a culture of customer service, including interacting directly with students and their families. A demonstrated record of utilizing technology to ensure consistent, accurate, and timely record keeping, as well as an intimate knowledge of government regulations and issues of compliance are also required.

Minimum Qualifications:  Masters degree with five to seven years of management experience working in a university setting at a professional level, or equivalent combination of education and experience is required.  Experience in a Registrar’s office within a comprehensive higher education institutional setting is preferred. This position requires an individual with comprehensive knowledge of student information systems, reporting, and the role of emerging technologies.
