Associate Director for First-Year Admissions

The Office of Undergraduate Admissions at University of North Carolina Wilmington is seeking applications for the position of Associate Director for First-Year Admissions. Primary duties include but are not limited to the following: supervise Assistant Directors; assume control of the office in the absence of the Director including budgetary oversight; assist the Director with crafting first-year recruitment, travel, application reading plans and interpret program successes to respond to institutional goals and priorities; oversee implementation of diversity recruitment plan; interpret and monitor application and enrollment information daily to make adjustments in recruitment strategy as needed; create statistical reports for the Director; compile data for annual surveys completed in conjunction with the Office of Institutional Research.
The Associate works closely with the Director to oversee the use of technology as it relates to recruitment, travel, and communication plans.
Basic skills required: The successful candidate must possess a Master's degree and experience in the administration of admissions and recruitment programs. Evidence of demonstrated excellent planning, organizational, customer service, leadership and supervisory skills are required. Excellent oral and written communication skills, including effective public speaking and presentation skills, and the ability to take initiative, exercise sound judgment and handle multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.
Preferred: Experience developing communication plans, administrating marketing and reporting. Knowledge of Banner, Enrollment Planning Service and AdmissionPros.
