The University College at UNCW seeks a professional academic advisor. This individual will provide academic advising and support to an advising load of 150 – 200 students during the time they are served by University College.  In addition to academic advising, this advisor will be an integral part of the University College curriculum team, and directly involved in the development and implementation of the First-Year Seminar Program.

The position requires a minimum of a master’s degree, and experience working in a university setting. Preference will be given to candidates with direct experience in academic advising, curriculum development, innovative program planning and coordination, teaching, and learning outcomes assessment. The ideal candidate will exhibit a broad understanding of student academic and developmental issues, strong organizational and problem solving skills, excellent written and oral communication skills, and the ability to effectively collaborate with team members and various constituents across campus.
