The University of North Carolina Wilmington (UNCW) School of Nursing (SON) in the College of Health and Human Services (CHHS) invites applications for full-time Simulation Learning Education Specialist. The School of Nursing (SON) offers CCNE accredited undergraduate and graduate degree programs in Nursing and a non-nursing Bachelor of Science degree in Clinical Research. Located in southeastern North Carolina within minutes of the Atlantic Ocean, UNC Wilmington is one of 17 constituent campuses of the University of North Carolina. Ranked among the top 10 public master’s institutions in the South by U.S.News and World Report for the past 14 years, UNC Wilmington is an active learning community that is committed to excellence in teaching, research, and service.RESPONSIBILITIES: A full-time regular ten month appointment for a Simulation Learning Education Specialist is available in the School of Nursing to support the department's scholarly, professional, and academic initiatives. Responsibilities include providing operational and educational support to the Simulation Learning Center. The Specialist functions within a team environment and collaborates with faculty and students in all programs to support simulation across the curricula.
QUALIFICATIONS: A master’s degree in nursing is required. The successful applicant must be a registered nurse with a minimum of three years in clinical practice, preparation in teaching and learning principles and eligible for North Carolina licensure.SALARY: Commensurate with experience and qualifications.
