The Program Director of Organizational Development represents the Swain Center of the Cameron School of Business and for UNCW. The Swain Center provides consultancy, education, and organizational development to local, national, and international organizations. The primary purpose of these positions are to develop and market programs to promote the university’s expertise and resources to create and disseminate ┬áorganizational knowledge through direct instruction, research and consultancies. These programs address community and regional issues and incorporate the community needs with the university’s academic and research programs, keeping with the goals and objectives of the Swain Center.

These positions will provide consultation services to assist with identifying and meeting the organization’s development and professional development training needs. These positions help organizations build high-performing work teams through educational programs and consulting activities, and work with faculty to develop curriculum for training and development offerings to meet these organization needs. Other responsibilities include engaging and coordinating faculty and other subject matter experts to deliver the program offerings. The area of focus for one of the positions includes specific outreach to health and human services organizations, military and defense personnel and operations, and professions with recurring continuing education needs.

Qualifications: Minimum qualifications include a masters’ degree in business administration, economics, organizational effectiveness, training and development or similar field. The successful candidate will have five or more years of full-time work related experience in a mid-to large-sized corporation with demonstrated progressive advancement. Preferred qualifications include fluency in a second language.
