The University of North Carolina Wilmington announces an opening for the position of Assistant Athletic Director for Student-Athlete Support Services. UNCW is a NCAA Division I program and member of the Colonial Athletic Association (CAA). The Assistant Athletic Director for Student-Athlete Support Services position is a full-time, 12-month appointment and will report to the Sr. Associate Athletic Director. The Assistant Athletic Director for Student-Athlete Support Services is responsible for the total operation of the student-athlete support services and advising including coordination of academic services for approximately 360 student-athletes, academic development and programming, life skills, SAAC, community outreach and supervising three full-time academic support staff.
Qualifications: Master’s Degree required. Minimum of 2-4 years of previous experience is required. Experience at the Division I level is preferred. Demonstrated knowledge of NCAA academic regulations and other related issues. Candidate should have strong computer skills, effective written and verbal communication, organizational and analytical skills.
