The Department of Biology and Marine Biology at the University of North Carolina Wilmington invites applications for a full-time lecturer to teach 12 contact hours per semester in health science related courses.  Preference will be given to candidates able to teach courses in Microbiology, Epidemiology, Cell/Molecular Biology, and/or Developmental Biology.  The candidate may also develop additional courses and participate in applied learning activities as determined by candidate strengths and department needs.  In addition, the individual will take an active role in departmental service.  For more information on the department, please visit

This is a nine-month, non-tenure track position beginning in August 2014. This position can be renewed on an annual basis.  Applicants must hold a Ph.D. in Biology or related discipline at the time of appointment.
