Mathematics Education

Tenure track Assistant Professor in Mathematics Education beginning August 2008. A Doctorate (earned by August 2008) in Mathematics Education with a minimum of 18 hours of graduate-level mathematics courses is required. A commitment to excellence in teaching and potential for successful research and grant writing in Mathematics Education are expected. Preference will be given to those with eligibility for North Carolina secondary mathematics teacher certification. Duties include teaching mathematics and methodology, supervising secondary mathematics interns, advising prospective teachers, research in mathematics education, and service. The Department of Mathematics and Statistics offers Bachelor's degrees in mathematics (including BA with teacher licensure) and statistics, and Master's degrees in mathematics.
