Two tenure track positions at the level of Assistant Professor beginning August 2008. A Ph.D. in mathematics (completed by August 2008) is required. A commitment to excellence in teaching and potential for successful research are expected. Preference will be given to candidates working in the areas of pure or applied algebra. Duties include undergraduate and graduate teaching, directing student projects, continuing research, and service. The department offers Bachelor’s degrees in mathematics and in statistics, a Master’s degree in mathematics, and a post-baccalaureate certificate in applied statistics.
