The Department of Art and Art History seeks applicants for a tenure track position in Ancient Art at the rank of Assistant Professor. Appointment begins August, 2008. PhD required. Candidates should show demonstrable interest in scholarly research and publication. Teaching experience preferred. Duties include teaching upper division courses in ancient Greek and Roman art in addition to the western survey. The ability to teach in a secondary area of Egyptian, Ancient Near-Eastern, Byzantine or Islamic art is desirable.
