Dr. David Lavere's fifth book, Looting Spiro Mounds: An American King Tut’s Tomb is published by University of Oklahoma Press, 2007. It deals with the ancient Indian town of Spiro and the looting of the burials mounds there during the 1930s by pot hunters and archaeologists  Spiro has been long been considered an archaeological crime.
