Deadline and Application Form

The Furman University Chapter of Phi Alpha Theta will be hosting

this year’s Regional Meeting of South Carolina and North Carolina Chapters.

  • We are seeking paper proposals from both undergraduate and graduate students.  Abstracts (one page maximum) should clearly outline the central issues addressed in the paper, the sources utilized, as well as the paper’s conclusions and overall significance.
  • The deadline for submission of paper abstracts is February 16, 2007.  Early submissions are especially encouraged as that will better facilitate the construction of sessions (entire session proposals are also welcomed).
  •
  • Papers can be on any historical topic and should be 10-12 pages in length (approximately 20 minutes in reading time). Awards will be given for best papers.
  •
  • Please see your Phi Alpha Theta advisor for proposal forms and additional information about this opportunity to attend or present a paper at this year’s Regional Meeting!
  •
