Sept. 5, 2007

Alicia Thomas, a graduate student in Public History, is doing her internship over the summer up at Independence Mine State Historical Park in Hatcher Pass, Alaska. As she tells, "It is pretty isolated up here, we're about thirty minutes from the nearest town. Things are going well, but I'll be glad to return to civilization soon." The following picture is where she was living - 30 minutes from the nearest town.
