Oversight. Insight. Foresight.

The Office of Internal Audit provides independent auditing and consulting services to assist management in balancing operational efficiency with risk identification, assessment, and control. We report to the Board of Trustees and collaborate with management to enhance assurance and accountability at all levels of the University community.

Our goal is to provide oversight, insight, and foresight.

Oversight

Ensuring both the units within UNCW as well as UNCW as a whole are doing what they are supposed to do.

Insight

Assisting decision makers by providing independent assessments of programs, policies, operations, and results.

Foresight

Providing proactive consulting services relating to new trends, emerging challenges, and best practices.
