Education Abroad Application Process
UNCW offers more than 500 education abroad opportunities in over 50 countries. Eligibility varies by program but you are qualified to study abroad if you:
- Are a degree-seeking student at time of participation
- Have at least sophomore standing at time of participation (first-year students may participate on select faculty-led programs)
- Have at least a 2.5 cumulative GPA at time of application
- Are in good judicial standing
Once you have chosen a program, you are ready to apply.
Select the program and appropriate term and year through the online application portal. Login with your UNCW credentials and a program-specific application checklist will be created for you. Make progress on all required application items as indicated on the checklist, first completing all items which can be submitted online, then submitting to the Office of International Programs all remaining application items to be submitted along with your initial education abroad fee.
