GLOBAL CITIZENSHIP AWARD

The Office of International Programs is pleased to announce the establishment of a new award.  The Global Citizenship Award honors the contributions of faculty or staff who use their teaching, research, and/or service to foster an environment of global engagement at UNCW.

Criteria  

To be considered for this award, a nominee must be a full-time employee at UNCW with at least five years of continuous service.

Nominees must have made significant contributions toward implementing UNCW’s strategic goal # 4:  Create an educational environment that prepares our students to be global citizens.

Such contributions might include, but are not limited to, any one or more of the following:

 Nomination Procedures

Any member of the university community may nominate someone for this award by filling out the attached nomination form.  Self-nominations are acceptable.

The nomination process is confidential.

The International Program Advisory Committee (IPAC) will review nominations and present a recommendation to the Assistant Provost of International Programs.  

The recipient of the award will be formally recognized at the International Education Week Reception on Monday, November 17.
