Use iPrint with Personal Computers Off Campus
You can download the drivers, send print files,or print jobs - by connecting to the UNCW network with a VPN connection.
Download drivers and instructions to use iPrint with personal computers.
Double-Sided B&W Printing
In keeping with the UNCW sustainability effort, all iPrint black-and-white printing from UNCW computers will default to double-sided printing (i.e., printing on both sides of a sheet of paper). Each side is considered one page (8 cents); therefore, one sheet (with two printed pages) will cost 16 cents.
If you are required to print single-sided, simply select the single-sided printer from the File/Printer drop-down menu when submitting the document.
Color printing will remain single-sided at 40 cents per page.

wirelessly from the laptops in the Laptop Checkout
Program?
Step 1: Save your file.
We recommend that you save your print file to a flash drive
or your “Timmy File Server” folder or so that
you will have a backup in the event you need to retrieve
or reprint the file at a later date.
Step 2: Preview print.
Before sending a print request, use the “Print Preview”
option under the “File” pulldown menu to assure
that you print only the pages you desire. This is
very useful when printing pages from a website, as you
will be charged for the number of pages printed.
Step 3: Send print job to printer.
Send your document to the iPrint printer queue by pressing
the “Print” icon or choosing the iPrint printer
from the File > Print dropdown menu.
Step 4: Enter username.
Next, you will be asked to enter your username (which is
your UNCW e-mail address WITHOUT the “@uncw.edu”).
Step 5: Name your print job.
Enter a name for your print job in the space provided so
that you can locate it when you go to the release station
to release your print job. Make the name simple for easy
identification of your print job.
Step 6: Print or cancel.
After entering your information, select “Print”
or “Cancel.” Once you select “Print,”
your job will be available for 24 hours. After the 24-hour
period, your print file will be deleted.
Step 7: Go to an iPrint release station.
Go to any iPrint location on
campus to release your job. Only released jobs
will be deducted from your free prints or charged to your
Seahawk Buck$ account.
Step 8: (At the release
station)
Swipe your UNCW One Card.
Swipe your UNCW One Card through the card reader. Your
card and free print balance amounts will be shown on
the display screen. (After all free prints have been
used, only the UNCW One Card balance will be displayed).
Step 9: Release your print job.
All of your print jobs will be listed. Select your
print job from the list; your print job can be identified
by the job name that you have chosen. After selecting the
print job(s), press the "Print" icon at the bottom
right of the screen. The cost of printing (or your free
prints) will be deducted from your UNCW One Card, and the

job(s) and press the “Delete” icon at the bottom
right of the screen.
