- Go to http://www.uncw.edu
- Click on the "Faculty & Staff " link if you are a faculty or staff member, or click on the “Current Students” link if you are a student.
- In the top right hand corner of the Faculty/Staff or Student page, click the "Change Password" link, under "OWA (campus e-mail)".
- Enter your e-mail username in the "E-mail ID" box. DO NOT include the "@uncw.edu" part of your address as it is already there.
- The system will now do one of two things:
(1) If you do not have a security question set up, you will get the screen below:
- Click on the Security Question Page link. This will take you to the screen below:
- You will need to click the second link that says "I wish to logon using my University ID (85#) and SeaNet PIN" (6 digit birth date by default).
- Once you login you will be able to choose the security question you would like to use. If you do not like the choices that are listed you can select "Other," which will allow you to type in your own question.
- You will then need to provide an answer for the security question.
- You will need to go through the process of logging in and answering the security question one last time before it will let you change your password.
(2) If you already have a security question set up, provide the correct answer to the question and the system will let you change your password.
- If you cannot remember your security question you will need to come to the Technology Assistance Center (TAC) with your University ID so we can reset it.
